The US Virgin Islands
St Thomas - is where the action is for entertaining nightlife and resort style vacations. Numerous attractions can be found on St Thomas - including the famous Coral World where you can view marine life from behind the safety of glass tanks or get wet and see things up close with the snuba offerings.
St John - is mostly undeveloped and is home to the area's Virgin Islands National Park. The park was established in 1956 and covers approximately two-thirds of the island. Visitors come to St John for the pristine beaches, hiking trails and exploring through the various ruins that can be found within the park. Another major attraction to St John is Cruz Bay. With numerous shops, bars and restaurants, it complements the tranquil park area with a generous dash of modern day excitement.
St Croix - while the largest island, is more tranquil than St Thomas and invokes a antebellum atmosphere. St Croix is a former Danish colony whose settlement dates back to 1625. The two major towns of Christiansted and Frederiksted offer numerous examples of the island's Dutch heritage.
